Christopher Michael Herring

A Celebration of Life for Christopher Michael Herring will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Temple Church in Killeen with burial to follow at Killeen City Cemetery. Christopher Michael Herring, of Killeen, TX went to his eternal home on August 30, 2012.

Born in Temple, TX to Michael "Mickey" Herring and Christine Salcido Herring. He was blessed with a brother Brian Eugene Herring also of Killeen. Christopher grew up in Killeen and was a 2007 graduate of Ellison High School. In the Fall, Chris moved to Phoenix, AZ to pursue his calling in ministry with Masters Commission USA. He then continued his studies with Masters in Dallas, TX where he graduated with an Evangelism and Leadership Certification in May of 2010. After moving back to Killeen he became the Assistant Manager to his Grandfather, Bobby Herring of Dependable Paint and Body Shop. He was blessed with Godly wisdom and guidance not only from his parents, but also from his Grandparents, Bobby & Joann Herring and Pete & Sallie Salcido.

Christopher was known for being a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, bull riding, sky diving and anything he could do to spend time with family and friends. His greatest love was to serve his Lord and Savior with all of his heart mind and soul. His passion was sharing the love of God with everyone he came into contact with. Christopher was a man of unquestionable integrity. Anytime Christopher had an opportunity to practice his Godly traits and share about Jesus, he ministered and touched the lives of so many as he traveled throughout the US. He is blessed by a loving family, large supportive church family, and an abundance of loyal friends.

We will cherish Chris' life in living by his example. The family appreciates all the love and prayers that have been shown to them and would like to thank the Temple and Killeen Police Departments for their sincere kindness and compassion. What everyone remembers most about Christopher was his radiant dimpled smile that could light up a room.
