

Claudine Phillips, devoted wife, mother, Nanny, sister, and aunt, passed away April 11th, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 24th, 1925 in Tyler, Missouri, the daughter of Herman and Maggie Lois Taylor. Mrs. Phillips led a selfless life, completely devoted to her family and friends. Oldest of nine siblings, she was like a second mother, leaving a legacy of love and service.
Mrs. Phillips retired from the Medical Records Department at Darnell Army Hospital and enjoyed playing cards and Bingo in her spare time. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Samuel Davis Phillips, her sons Ronald Phillips and Donald Ray Phillips, her sisters Robbie Frances Chambers and Jessie Carson, and her brothers Herbert Taylor and Jimmy Taylor.
She is survived by her daughter Gail Sadler and son-in-law Barry Sadler, daughters-in-law Pamela Phillips and Wanda Phillips, grandsons Davis Phillips and his wife Amy Phillips, and CK Sadler, granddaughters Angel Elkins, Dawn Watts and her husband Terry Watts, Meagan McMahon and her husband Sean McMahon, Sara Doyle and her husband Steve Doyle, and Katharine Sadler, great grandsons Devin Rowland, Nicholas Nelson, and Caleb Elkins, great granddaughters Meagan Doyle, Macy Rowland, Taylor Doyle, Lauren Doyle, McKenzie McMahon, and Ashley Doyle, her brother Charles Taylor and his wife Sylvia Taylor, her sisters Bettie Knight, Billie Jean Neal, and Johnnie Mae Ward, brother-in-law Perry Chambers, honorary grandson James Crossman, a host of nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Phillips will be Tuesday, April 14th, from 6pm-8pm and memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 15th, at 1pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private burial for the family will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.
