

He was born on December 18, 1953 in the Philippines, and immigrated to the United States in the late 1970s after earning his bachelor’s degree from the Philippine Normal University.
He earned his Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of La Verne, California in 1985 and later earned a Master of Science in Liberal Studies, Major in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Central Texas in 2014. He also earned a Certification in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2021. He had a distinguished career, having enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and later retired as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife Alice Deocariza, his son Tim-Carl Deocariza, his sister Criselda Deocariza Sy and brother-in-law Ruben Sy.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, October 27, at 6:00PM at St Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church 1000 Farm to Market Rd. 2410 Harker Heights, Texas.
A Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, October 28, at 7:30AM at Holy Family Catholic Church 1001 Georgetown Rd. Copperas Cove, Texas 76542, with interment immediately after at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery 11463 TX195, Killeen TX 76542.
