David Anibal Castro

Funeral services with full military honors for David A. Castro, 43, of Killeen are scheduled for 1 pm Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Funeral procession will leave from the funeral home at 12:15 pm traveling to the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday for 1 pm service.

Mr. Castro passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Bell County, Texas.

He was born May 10, 1971 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Anibal Jesus and Regla Isabel (Garcia) Castro.

He retired from the US Army on October 29, 2014. He served 3 tours in Iraq, deployed for total of 39 months within a six year period. He was loved, always willing to help and he touched many people’s lives.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen (Schmoldt) Castro from Michigan, daughters Kayla Kennedy, Sabrina Kennedy, Madelin Castro, and Son, Isaiah Castro; his mother, Regla Isabel Castro; a sister, Rosie Sacramento and her husband, Ramon and their three children; and many nieces and nephews, extended friends and family.

The family will have a visitation from 10 am to 1 pm on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
