Donald was born April 28, 1934 to Jason E. Cannon and Lena Walts in Brackenridge, Texas
He was a retired Police Chief from U.T. Austin and was Chief at Killeen Police Department before that. He and his wife, Frances lived in Manor, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances
daughter and son, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren and two sisters.
He was a member of the Eternal Faith Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Fund or the Fallen Police Officer’s Fund.
Visitation will be at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 am with Pastor Gene Smith Officiating. Burial will be at Killeen City Cemetery. The family will meet family and friends at Rudy’s, 5621 Central Texas Expressway, Killeen, Texas following the burial.
