Eddie Wayne Hallmark

Eddie was raised in Stephenville and Lingleville, Texas. After he graduated from Stephenville High School, Eddie spent time as a welder's apprentice and working for Pacific Gas and Electric in California.

He joined the United States Army in October 1959 and served honorably for the next 23 years, retiring in 1982 as a Sergeant First Class.

Eddie served numerous tours in Germany, - Berlin, Bad Hersfeld, Schweinfurt, Illesheim, and stateside assignments at Fort Hood, Fort Bliss, and Fort Riley. Eddie and Lilli Jonat were married in Bad Hersfeld Germany. Following his service Eddie worked and retired from the United States Postal Service.

Eddie dearly loved his family. He enjoyed working on his “projects”, mowing lawns, identifying old cars. Eddie adored his dogs Misty, Peaches and especially Pickles and later his grand dogs.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lon and Willie Mae Hallmark. Survivors include his wife Lilli, three daughters, Carmen (Tom), Corina (Mark), and Vicki, and two grandchildren, Christopher and Taylor.

Services for Eddie Wayne Hallmark will be at 1PM 30 December 2019 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home 1615 S Fort Street, Killeen Texas 76542. A viewing beginning at 12PM will preceed the service. Interment will follow at the Killeen Veterans Cemetery.
