Helen M. Beers

Helen was born on January 5, 1924 in Germany.

She died Wed., Sept. 18, 2013 in Waco.

Helen and her husband, Henry W. Beers lived in Killeen for over 55 years. She retired after 36 years of service from AAFES, Army Air Force Exchange

System without taking a sick day. Helen volunteered “everywhere”; the Killeen Food Center, various veteran’s groups, nursing homes and church, anywhere she felt she could help. Helen believed in giving back to her community.

Helen's love, Henry W. Beers preceded her in death in 1992.

She leaves to cherish her memories; two sons and their wives; Don and Paula Beers of Hubbard; Charles and Peggy Beers of Perryton; grandchildren; Brian Beers and his daughter, Brooke of Garland; Amanda Beers of Hewitt; Missy Chappell Valerio and Dagoberto and their children, Gabriel and Hannah all of Bellmead; Paul Chappell and children, Laney and Justin of Waco, Jason and Keri Beers, and son, Jake of Austin; Shelby Beers and daughter, Abigail, of Amarillo; and Kimberly Beers of Austin.

Memorials may be made to FBC Killeen Building Fund, FBC Hubbard Building Fund or charity of one's choice.
