Imogene Dunn

Imogene Dunn was welcomed into heaven early Saturday morning, September 13, 2025, in Harker Heights, Texas.

Born in Center, Texas, on December 6, 1934, Imogene devoted her life to caring for others. On October 3, 1960, she married the love of her life, Samuel Dunn. Together, they shared a beautiful life and one daughter, Cassandra Dunn.

For nearly 30 years, Imogene served at Bellhaven Nursing Home, where her compassion and tireless work ethic touched countless lives. In 1984, she began working for the Grandy family, forming a bond that lasted over 40 years. Her unwavering commitment and loving spirit became a cornerstone in the lives of those she cared for.

In the last decade of her life, Imogene discovered a love for travel—especially the ocean. With her companion, Sarah, by her side, she cruised to destinations including Alaska, The Bahamas, Bermuda, and the Virgin Islands. These journeys brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Imogene’s deep faith was evident in her daily walk with the Lord. She read His Word faithfully and lived a life of quiet strength and service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Dunn, and her friends, Ernestine Warren and Loise Grandy.

Imogene is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Dunn of Harker Heights; her cousin Jennie Lee King of Dallas; her lifelong friend Ludessia Mattox of Atlanta; nieces Elaine Pearson, Mary Chatman, and Angela Dunn of Houston; and Sarah Worley of Belton, who brought so much joy to her final years. Friends; Deborah Warren Gossney of Rosebud and Kathy Warren of Houston.

A Celebration of Imogene’s life will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, with services following at 10:00 AM, officiated by Jacob McGinnis. Burial will take place at Killeen Memorial Park.

Imogene will be remembered for her endless devotion, generous heart, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in all who were blessed to know her.
