

Services for Johnny Bob Young, 52, of Killeen will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Maxdale Cowboy Church Tabernacle. Brother Joe Daggs will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Knob Cemetery. Johnny Bob died Friday, December 24 in a Temple hospital.
Johnny Bob was born May 20, 1958 in Killeen to John D. Young and Bobbie S. Edwards Young. He was active in sports in high school and graduated from Killeen High School in 1977. He started working in the family business of Young Sporting Goods while he was still in high school and became owner in 2001. Johnny Bob married Lee Ann Curb, July 19, 2008 in Killeen.
He had previously coached football and baseball for the Killeen and Copperas Cove Parks and Recreation departments and taught Sunday school. He served on the board of Maxdale Cowboy Church 2009-2010 and was an integral part of the Chuck Wagon Cooking Ministry.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father in 2001.
Survivors include his wife Lee Ann; two sons, Brandon Young and Josh Nunnery; two daughters, Faith Young and Ashly Nunnery; his mother Bobbie Young; and two sisters, Tonia Cockrell and Terri Young all of Killeen.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested in a memorial account at First Texas Bank, PO Box 609, Killeen, TX 76540 or the Maxdale Cowboy Church Building Fund.
Friends are invited to join the family for refreshments and a time of visitation Thursday, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
