Joseph “Joey” Charles Krieger, 64, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Round Rock, Texas surrounded by his family. Born on January 8, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, Joey lived a life rooted in hard work, love, and connection.
Joey was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Kathryn McNanna and Robert John Krieger, and by his beloved son, Joshua DeLoach, whom he carried in his heart every day.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Patricia “Patti” Krieger; his children, Jacob Thompson, Jamee Krieger, Jessica Drum, Brandi Lindsey, and Patrick Frazho; his siblings and their families; and countless friends who were never “just friends,” but chosen family.
For more than 40 years, Joey worked as a contractor in the Killeen area. He took pride in his work and was known for showing up, getting it done right, and helping others whenever he could. Joey didn’t just build projects—he built trust and lifelong relationships.
Outside of work, Joey loved riding motorcycles and the freedom of the open road. Even more than that, he loved time spent with the people closest to him—laughing, telling stories, and simply being together. He had a rare gift: the ability to light up a room with his smile and laugh, making everyone feel welcome and at ease.
Joey will be remembered as kind, generous, strong, and deeply loving. His presence was steady, his heart was big, and his love for his family was unwavering. He leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, laughter, and love that will live on in all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on January 30, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas. Funeral services will take place on January 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., also at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, with interment to follow at The Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
