She was born April 27, 1958 in Worcester, Mass., to parents Forest Coy and Rita Bliss Coy. She was raised and educated in Massachusetts. She moved to Texas in 1986 where she worked for Goodwill, Dollar General Store, and Walmart throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her son Christopher Melvin, and two brothers; Francis Coy and Gene Coy.
Survivors include her two brothers Mike Coy, Dave Coy, and one sister Patricia Potter;one daughter Heidi ( Colin) McDowell of Salado and three grandchildren; Christie, Meagan, and Emily McDowell of Salado.
