Mac McDowell

After a short time in the United States Army, he moved to Texas. Mac worked for Arnold Plumbing and met and married the love of his life, Mary. In 1975, Mac started his own plumbing, heating and air conditioning business, McDowell Enterprises.

Mac loved hunting, going to the casino and spending time with his family. He was an avid LSU and New Orleans Saints fan.

Mac was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McDowell, his parents James Floyd and Lula Mae Boyette McDowell. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn and Mary Ruth, and also by his brother, Robert.

He is survived by his sons, Chad (Kelley), Colin (Heidi), Cade (Teri) and Chance. Survivors also include his brother, Clayton and his sister, Jetty. He is also survived by grandchildren, Justin (Maddie), Kaycee, Clayton, Christie, Meagan, Emily, Lorelei and Liam. He also has one great grandchild, Case. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mac will be at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, from 5-8 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024. A private burial will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024.
