

He was the son of Ray James Nagle, Jr. and Doris Evelyn (Palmer) Nagle. He was a 1964 graduate of Edgewood Senior High School, in Ashtabula, Ohio. Mark was drafted in the United States Army as an OV-1B Mohawk aircraft mechanic at Fort Rucker, in Alabama, before being transferred to Fort Hood, Texas. Mark met his wife, Belinda Beth (Barr) Nagle and they married in Killeen, and divorced in 1986. She later passed away in 1998.
Mark is a long time resident of Harker Heights, Texas. After active Army service he took a job working for the Department of the Army at Fort Hood and retired in December 2012 as the Director of the Fort Hood Civilian Personnel Office. When Mark retired he had achieved 44 years of federal service. Mark was extremely well regarded in the field of labor relations and is recognized not only at Fort Hood but within the Department of the Army with creating one of the most harmonious and well functioning labor relations climates. His innovative ideas and creative problem solving enabled him to anticipate problems that might arise and prevent them from happening. He had a quick wit and was often able to diffuse difficult situations that would have confounded most!
In addition to a lengthy federal service career Mark served on the board of the Texas Partners Federal Credit Union for many years. He enjoyed traveling, photography, and knife collecting.
He is survived by his mother, age 96, who lives in Pierpont, Ohio, and his brother, Philip James Nagle, age 60, also of Pierpont, Ohio.

Mr. Nagle will lay in state from 12 noon until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
