Mrs. Phillips was born April 6, 1924 in Beebe, Ark. to Willie and Edna Brown and passed away on April 19, 2011 in Harker Heights. She was reared and educated in Arkansas and married Rex E. Phillips on November 3, 1944. She had made her home in the area since 1955 and was a home maker. Her hobbies included crochet, latch hook and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and one brother. Survivors include two sons Danny Phillips of Fredericksburg and Barry Phillips of Harker Heights and a daughter Susan Barbee of Killeen, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2011.
