Paula Maria Luss-Porter

Paula Maria Luss-Porter nee Thompson, age 61, of Nolanville, Texas passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023. She was born on December 12, 1961 in Orange, California to the late Ronald P. Thompson and Cleo Amaya Thompson. She was a Military Family Member and grew up in several areas in of the United States.

She was a 1980 graduate of Ellison High School where she participated in Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) and Choir.

She married into the Military where she traveled around the world. She received Dental training from the Military and worked as a Dental Assistant for many years. Later, she became a Clinic Administrator for House of Smiles in Killeen for 16 years until her retirement due to health reasons.

She was a proud member of Pershing Park Baptist Church.

Paula leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Wendell K. Porter; her Mother, Cleo Owens; Her Father, Haywood Owens; her Children, Jordan L. Luss and Jasmine L. Luss; Her Brothers, Ronald P. Thompson Jr., Joseph L. Thompson, Haywood L. Owens Jr., Juan G. Owens, Albert M. Owens, and James M. Owens; Her Grandsons, King Luss and Kyro Luss and a host of other relatives, family and friends.

A visitation for Paula will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. A Service will occur Monday, July 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Pershing Park Baptist Church, followed by a Committal Service at 2:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
