

Percy was born December 2, 1939 in West Monroe, LA to John Henry Williams, Sr. and Annie Bell Williams.
He served in the United States Army from 1958 until his retirement in 1988. While serving he received the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Good Conduct Medal with silver five loops, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with one Silver Service Star, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon numeral four, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation Badge with Palm.
After retirement from the United States Army he worked for Central Texas College as an Instructor of Food Service Management and later the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where he was employed for ten years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty seven years Solange Williams of Killeen; three sons, Percy F. Williams, Jr. and his wife Almaz of Austin, John Henry Williams, III of San Antonio and Christophe Williams and his wife Renata of Hutto; a daughter, Caroline Williams of Killeen; four brothers, James Williams, Steven Williams, Lavelle Williams and Melvin Williams; three sisters, Augustine Williams, Maxine Harris and Ozell Williams and three grandchildren, Milena Yasmin Williams, Sierra Solange Williams and Christophe Charles Williams, Jr.
The Williams family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 in the Chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Interment service will follow in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
