Robert Michael Dillard

Robert Dillard, 46, of Killeen passed away peacefully on July 23, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Uni Dillard and two loving sons, Zachary and Christopher. Robert was born in Tacoma, WA to Orville and Josephine Dillard (deceased) and is also survived by his 7 brothers and sisters.

Robert served 20 years in the Army, first as a Vehicle Wheel Specialist and then an Apache Armament Electrical Systems Repairer. He received many awards including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Army Achievement Medal. He was most proud of his boys, who followed in his footsteps and currently serve in the US Army.

Following his retirement he worked 5 years as an Aviation Specialist for the City of Killeen.

Robert enjoyed playing golf and loved his favorite football team, the Seahawks. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, July 29, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Burial with full military honors will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
