After a long battle with multiple medical conditions, he found peace in the loving arms of his family and LORD. Throughout his life, he earned the reputation of the “comeback Kid.” He confounded his doctors time and time again by exceeding their expectations by pure fortitude of will. He had the will of a warrior. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and an active and long-standing member of Grace Lutheran Church in Killeen Texas.
He held many titles, among the ones most important to him were Beloved son and Brother, Husband to the love of his life Susan and Father to his son Robert who made him so proud, and loving father and friend to his daughter Tamatha.
He was born in Lufkin, Texas and moved to Irving, Texas in his early childhood. He met and married his High School sweetheart, Susan. He served his country through two combat tours in Vietnam, one combat tour in Panama and 26 years of service in the Army rising to the rank of First Sergeant. With the love and support of his wife, he made the military his career and positively shaped and mentored his soldiers. The Army called upon him to fill the 1st Sergeant position in three separate company’s where he served with distinction. After his retirement from the Army, he served his community along with Susan and his trusty border collie Molly through K-Cops. He lived his life by a code, and it served him well.
