Ronald John Zito, 64, of Nolanville, Texas, passed away on September 12, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas while surrounded by family. He was born on June 23, 1961, in Rochester, New York, to the late Jean Burns and Raymond Zito.
A proud American, Ronald served his country for 20 years in the United States Military. Following his distinguished service, he dedicated his life to his family, his hobbies, and his work as a military contractor. He was a passionate fisherman and bowler, a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and a meticulous collector of rare coins. He also had a great appreciation for a well-manicured lawn, 80s movies, and was always willing to help in any way he could, whether it was going out of his way to run an errand or looking after his son's dog, Belle.
Ronald possessed a quiet strength and profound wisdom. While he was a man of few words, his family and friends knew that when he spoke, it was important and worth listening to. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, often breaking into a made-up song about whatever he was doing or spouting a random German phrase as a joke for his wife, Elke.
He was a man who showed his love not just through words, but through his actions. Family was at the center of his world, and his love for them was deep and unwavering.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Elke Zito of Nolanville, TX; his son, Shawn (Bobbie) Zito and grandson, Robert Zito of Youngsport, TX; his sister, Wendy (Graham) Simpson of Virginia Beach, VA; his brother, Brett (Karoline) Zito of Macedon, NY; Robin (David) Gabel of Silver Creek, NY; Wendy (Michael) Dempsey of Shelby Township, MI, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Burns; his stepfather, Robert Burns; and his father, Raymond Zito.
Ronald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
