

Dub was raised in the woods of Marion Louisiana by his Aunt Gussie and Uncle C.L. Hunt. In 1956 Dub married his childhood sweetheart, Willie Mae Talton, of Sterlington Louisiana. Dub and Willie Mae have been married for 66 years, and were blessed with a beautiful daughter and five sons. In 1953 Will attended Southern University, in Louisiana. In 1976 he also attended Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas. Will was a devout Christian. During his Christian tenure, Will T. Wasson was a pastor at the New Testament Holiness Church of Taylor Texas, and The Church of Jesus in Nolensville Texas, and a Pastor at the Mission’s in Georgia Town, Texas. He also was a Day Star supporter of the Mission’s in Israel and a supporter of TCT Christian broadcast in America. He supported the World Wide missions (Prophet David Terrel), throughout the world and helped build a church in India. In 1975, during his time serving in the U.S. Army, he served as the stand-in chaplain in the Camp Carroll Chapel, located in Wae Gwan Korea.
He performed chapel services on Sunday evening fellowships and Bible study classes, and received the Soldier of God Citation. Will retired from the U.S Army after 20 years of service, as a Combat Engineer. On Tuesday January 17, 2023 at the age of 88, he departed this life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and several siblings and granddaughter Denae Chiffon Wasson and great grandson D’avion Wasson.
Will T Wasson is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Willie Mae Wasson, his children, daughter Ebarba (John Fuller), and Sons Marcus (Michelle), Reggie (Christina), Keith (Livingston), Tracy (Karen) and Dirk Wasson.15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and a host of sibling's and relative's.
