

A Celebration of Life service for William “Bill” Kozlik will be held at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Killeen. Inurnment will follow at 2 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mr. Kozlik passed away on April 14, 2025, in Temple, Texas.
He was born on August 14, 1944, in Flushing, New York, to Margaret and Joseph Kozlik.
Bill met the love of his life, Mary (née Steve), in 1964 while they were both in college. He was drafted on September 29, 1966, and served as a Military Policeman with Company A, 518th MP Battalion at Fort Hood, Texas. During his service, Bill and Mary were married on June 17, 1967, in West Seneca, New York.
Throughout his life, Bill worked in various sales and management positions and was an active member of several service organizations. While working, he also attended Temple College, where he earned a degree in sales and management. With his diverse business background, strong rapport with the public, and outstanding leadership skills, Bill was a natural fit for his role as President and CEO of the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce (HHCC), where he served from March 9, 1998, to January 31, 2014. He took great joy in supporting the Harker Heights community, fostering strong ties with Fort Hood, and connecting with new people. Most recently, he served on the Advent Health Central Texas Foundation Board of Trustees and HHCC.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kathy Brion-Person; and his sister-in-law, Anne Kozlik.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mary; son, Todd, and his wife, Elizabeth; granddaughter, Shelby Hicks, and her husband, Marcus; and great-grandson, Rylan Hicks. He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph Kozlik of Arcadia, FL, and Richard (Sissy) Kozlik of Kill Devil Hills, NC; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Person of Chesapeake, VA; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and countless memories that will remain forever in our hearts.
