

Anne Corbin Tanner, a faithful, selfless, thoughtful, kind-hearted, and gentle soul, passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 7, 1954, in Davenport, Iowa, Anne experienced a vibrant childhood, moving frequently and spending some of her early years overseas in England. She pursued her education at the University of Tennessee, which laid the foundation for her dedicated career.
Anne was a devoted elementary teacher for over 30 years, touching the lives of countless students with her passion and commitment to education. Her career was a testament to her selfless nature and her desire to make a positive impact on others.
In 1980, Anne married Terry Tanner, and together they raised three wonderful children. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. She was blessed with four grandchildren.
Anne's personal interests included quilting, reading, and crafts, activities she enjoyed sharing with her family and grandchildren. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and she was an active member of her church community.
Anne is survived by her loving husband, Terry Tanner; her children, Miles Tanner (Lilia), Charles Tanner (Tate), and Lydia Tanner; her grandchildren, Natalie, Matthew, Beckett, and Declan; her brother, Randy Corbin (Bettye); and her sisters, Kay Barthold and Carolyn Boerma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Landon and Harriette Corbin.
A Celebration of Life and Reception will be held at Kingwood Funeral Home, located at 22800 Highway 59 N, Kingwood, Texas, 77339. The service will take place on December 12, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
Anne will be remembered for her gentle spirit and her unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and community. Her legacy of kindness and thoughtfulness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
