Beatrice (San Pedro) Saldivar was born on August 1, 1943 in San Benito, Texas to parents, Francisco San Pedro and Carolina (Castillo) San Pedro and passed away at the age of 79, on September 16, 2022 in Kingwood, TX.
She married the love of her life, Joe, in 1959, and were always inseparable. While living in Taft, TX, they raised five children together. She was a homemaker for many years until all of her children graduated from high school. She then worked in food services at Taft ISD and Taft Hospital. She attended Immaculate Conception Church where she taught catechism classes and was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas and The Guadalupanas. She loved playing bingo, attending family gatherings, listening to Tejano music, going out to eat, cooking, and traveling to the Rio Grande Valley to visit her parents, siblings, and extended relatives. But her most beloved role was being a mom and grandma. After 50 years of living in Taft, they decided to move to the Houston area to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Beatrice is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe; their five children: Belinda Saldivar (Cyndi), Joy Symington (Jim), Josie Fonseca (Tino), Jay Saldivar (Patricia), and Jeff Saldivar (Christina); grandchildren: Justin, Joely, Heather, Natasha & Faith, Chase & Elyse, Eddie, Julie & Aracely, Jaymz & Bella, Olivia, Johnny, Joseph & Josie; siblings: Frances Sauceda, Elena Gaytan, Francisco San Pedro Jr., Jose Luis San Pedro, and Israel San Pedro; various great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Francisco and Carolina San Pedro; three step-children: Jessie, Johnny, and Joann Saldivar; one grandson: Jason Saldivar; and siblings: Paula Villanueva, Elida Perez, Teresa Gaytan, Gloria Perez, Natividad Cervantes, and Santos San Pedro.
She was dearly loved by all and loved everyone she met. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, September 24, 2022 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 527 S. Houston Ave., Humble, Texas. Interment will be held at Rosewood Memorial Park, 2602 S. Houston Ave., Humble.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, September 23, 2022, at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Hwy 59 N., Kingwood, Texas. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm.
