

Brian was born on July 2, 1983 to Charles and Gloria Loftin in Humble, Texas. Brian and his family lived in Kingwood until 1985 when they moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and lived there untill 1989. The family moved back to Kingwood where Brian started Kindergarten at Greentree Elementary School and later attended Creekwood Middle School, where he played football and ran track and is still on the record board in Triple Jump and the 400 meter dash. In his Junior year at Kingwood High Shoool Brian and his family, next moved to Mobile, Alabama where he graduated in 2002. Once again he came back home to Texas where he attended University of North Texas for two years before transferring to Texas State. He majored in construction engineering and in the summer of 2008 he interned at Proformance Contracting Inc, in Aneheim, California where he accepted a permanent position to begin in January of 2009. However, Brian was diagnosed with cancer in October, 2008 during his last semester at Texas State. Brian is survived by his parents, Gloria and Charles Loftin; sister, Christy Lockstedt; brother, Aaron Loftin; grandparents, Bob and Ruth Loftin of Coyle, Oklahoma, and L.D. and Betty McCarty of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; niece, Paige Lockstedt; nephews, Ethan and Kade Lockstedt; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and "Damus" who came into his life in October, 2009. Damus is a French Bulldog named after Nostradamus. Brian loved working jigsaw puzzles, nature in all its forms, and building with wood. Brian's battle with cancer ended on April 23, 2010 with his family at his side. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Brian's name to American Hospice, 3307 West Davis St., Conroe, TX 77304.
