Carol Lynn Parish

Carol Lynn Parish passed on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at home in Kingwood, Texas at the age of 72. Carol was born August 19, 1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Wade Whitmer and Ina Ash. She attended Galena Park High School and The University of Texas-Austin. She is preceded in death by her father, Wade Whitmer; her brothers Dennis and Will Whitmer; and her son, John Johnson. She is survived by her mother, Ina Ash; her brother, Johnny Whitmer, married to Jerolyn Whitmer; her sister-in-law, Pam Whitmer; her husband of 41 years, Billy Parish; and four children, Marci Surrey, married to John Surrey, Jimmy Johnson, Gina Parish and Bill Parish. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Cody Hammack, married to Monica Hammack, Sara Bancroft, Sydney Surrey, Jordynn Johnson, and Garrett West; and daughter-in-law Hope Robinson. She was an avid bridge player, bowler and reader, and a wonderful person to all who knew and loved her. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Kingwood Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Kingwood Funeral Home.
