Charles Samuel Saulter, “Chuck”, was born in Yonkers, New York and grew up in Mt. Vernon, New York. He moved away at the age of 17 to serve in the United States Navy where he achieved the rank of E-6. After retiring from the Navy and completing his Computer Science degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville, Chuck began his career working in the offshore seismic exploration industry. He started with PGS where he spent 22 years initially working as a Senior Navigator onboard their vessels. In 2007 he became an Operations Manager for North and South America. Most recently, Chuck worked for EDCON-PRJ as the Marine Operations Manager. His 25 years of experience in marine seismic operations provided an excellent basis for overseeing EDCON-PRJ’s marine gravity and magnetic operations on seismic vessels and projects all over the world. Chuck’s career allowed him the opportunity to always do what he loved – which was to travel and explore different countries and cultures all over the world.
In his personal life, Chuck was a huge fan of the Houston Texans and a Black Belt in Taekwondo. He enjoyed sharing his love of travel with others. He rescued many dogs over the years but two held a special place in his heart – Zoe & Tootsie. He was present and volunteered at the local elementary school and enjoyed his walks to and from each day. Chuck advocated for and served children that were adopted or in foster care.
Chuck is proceeded in death by his parents John Henry Saulter and Lottie Marie Smith Saulter. He is survived by his wife Kathryn, and his children Dante, Brianna, John and Arleen. His grand daughter La’Myiah and his sister, Marie as well as 4 nieces (Princess, Victoria, Anna, and Lillian) and 1 great nephew Elijah.
