Dennis Charles Parent, 89, of Kingwood, passed away February 3, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 2, 1935. He was a loving partner to Barbara Reynolds for 25 years. He was a surrogate father to her 3 daughters, April Lorenzo, Krystal Boyd (Kevin), Lauren Reynolds, and grandfather to Brendan Namink, Brooks Boyd, & Brayden Boyd.
Dennis owned Parent Construction, a remodeling company in Kingwood and an Executive Recruiting Company in Chicago before moving to Texas. He had a passion for driving. He had a private pilot’s license and had owned a small plane. He raced cars and never lost a race. He owned a small yacht and was Commodore of the Belmont Yacht Club in 1981.
He is survived by a sister, Dianne Parent, a step brother Terrance (Terry) Parent and wife Terry Lynn, step brother Charley Parent and wife JoAnn, step sister Kathleen "Kitty" Parent Lacey and husband Ed Lacey. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM, February 15, 2025 at Kingwood Funeral Home.
