

With a career spanning 30 years as an endoscopy technician, Kathy was more than proficient in her field – she was exceptional. Her dedication and skills were recognized through multiple awards and plaudits from her peers and employers, making her an inspiration to many and an asset to her profession. Beyond her career, Kathy held a multitude of interests that reflected her unique spirit. She was a film enthusiast, an avid reader, a talented drawer and painter, an amazing cook, an adventurous ghost hunter, a curious student of serial killers, a lover of all things Halloween, and a devoted fan of the bizarre works of John Waters. Her diverse hobbies and passions made her a captivating conversationalist and a fascinating friend.
Kathy's smile, memorable and beautiful, was a testament to her warm and vibrant spirit. She brought joy and comfort to those around her, her laughter echoing as a reminder of the love and light she brought into this world.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Olivia Aguilar; her father, James Blanchard; and her stepmother, Annabelle. She is survived by her daughter, April Nunez Liles; her son-in-law, Toby Liles; her beloved cat, Henry; grand-cats Zoe, Zara, and Zeus; sisters Rose, Becky, Tonie, Sylvia, Patti; and brothers Jessie and James (Jimmy), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11th at Kingwood Funeral Home, where family, friends, and others whose lives Kathy touched are invited to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to assist with remaining medical bills.
While we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable woman, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she led, the people she touched, and the enduring impact she leaves behind. Kathy's spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, her love serving as a beacon in our hearts. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory lives on, as vibrant and inspiring as she herself was.
Although she is gone, she will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life - Memorial Service will be held at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 N, Kingwood, Texas 77339, on April 11, 2026, at 11:00 am.
