She was born in Boise, Idaho on October 2, 1950 to Don and Betty Hensley. She was married to Carl Jones for 47 years. Linda Kay had a career as a stay-at-home mom for 14 years and then worked in the construction industry for Frost Construction, WT Byler and Champs Construction. She was a former member and past president of the Kingwood Area Quilt Guild and had a passion for her family, quilting and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Don Hensley, brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Mona Hensley, and brother, Donnie Hensley.
She survived by her mother, Betty Hensley, husband, Carl Jones, daughter, Jennifer, son Jason as well as two nephews, one niece, two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
