Janet and I are so sorry to hear of Maureen's passing.  She and Tom were the perfect neighbors during the many years  we lived in Kingwood.  Maureen was also always there to lend a hand if needed and did so with that infectious smile of hers.  We will miss her.

Maureen, or “Mrs. B” to many of us on our street, was a treasure to have as a neighbor. She was a neighbor that quickly became a friend after we moved in 10 years ago. 

She lived out “love thy neighbor as thyself” well and was always sending small gifts for the children or special gifts for the holidays and checking in on us. She saved me many times in the middle of making dinner with an egg or some ingredient that I was missing. She literally sent over a cup of sugar that I needed once, and the kids ran the measuring cup back. During Hurricane Beryl, she let our family take shelter in their air conditioned house and run an extension cord across the street to keep our fridge going since we were without power. 

Maureen knew the history of our street from the beginning and I loved hearing all of the details she would share about each homeowner that lived in each house over time. 

I admired Maureen for her love of Tom, her family, and most importantly her faith in God. 

Mrs. B, we will be sure to take care of Mr. B on the street. We will miss you.

Mom did nothing half measure.  She laughed with her whole being and...oh, how I miss her laugh.  Mom cooked with passion often forcing second and sometimes third helpings on unprepared guests knowing they'd never tasted food as good as hers. She loved to shop. I have have such fond memories of her leaving me and my best friend on a bench in the mall when we in high school because we couldn't keep up with her. Mom gave of herself without limitation,  time, trinkets, whatever you needed, she would find a way to get it.... or knew someone who could.  She also gave her thoughts and opinions freely but at least your always knew where you stood with her.  There were still so many questions I never asked.  I know there are things I don't even know are coming that I could use your wisdom on. Oh Mommy, thank you for all the things I never said thank you for.   I hope you know how much I loved you and will everyday until we meet again.

To the Berkovich family, we offer our deepest sympathies for the loss of Maureen. She was such a kind, generous and loving person, we will all miss her at family gatherings.

Maureen was my childhood friend through Ascension and Little Flower school days in Philadelphia. I so appreciated communications with her over the years celebrating the lives of our husbands, children, and grandchildren. I will miss that. She was a wonderful person and I know her family will sorely miss her absence. My you be comforted remembering her love for you and her goodness and faith. I offer my condolences and prayers.
