Mercedes Ileana Martinez

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm, with the rosary being recited at 7:00pm, Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Hwy 59 N., Kingwood, Texas.

Mercedes Ileana Martinez was born in Managua, Nicaragua September 26, 1948 to parents, Jose Alejandro Jarquin Garcia and Blanca Martinez Gutierrez.

Mercedes married Jairo Martinez and together they raised their 3 children: Alejandro Cesar Pena Sr. (Alex) may he rest in peace 02/05/2019, David Antonio Martinez, & Johanna Paola Martinez (Johannita).

They have 5 grandchildren: Alejandro Cesar Pena Jr., Anabel Mercedes Martinez, Antonio Vishnu Pena, Raquel Anita Pena, & David Antonio Martinez Jr.

Her hobbies included decorating, floral arrangements, cooking, & MOST importantly las makinitas y des moche! She loved roses, gladiolas, jasmine, flamingos, and peacocks. The memory of Mercedes Ileana Martinez will live on in the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have known or spent time with her.
