Richard Payne Moomaw

Richard Moomaw was a native Houstonian and resided in Kingwood for the past 33 years. He was a graduate of Reagan High School 1954; Texas A&M B.S. 1958 where he was commissioned in the US Army; U of H M.ED. 1962. Dick taught school and was a principal in Aldine I.S.D. Later, he worked in the oil tool services industry with several companies where he was Human Resources Manager and consultant until he retired. Richard is survived by his wife, Doris Anne and children, Katherine and son-in-law Bill Snow; son, Richard Jess Moomaw and three grandchildren, Michael, Davis and Lauren all of California. Doris has two children Julie Maxey and Dr. William Sapp; son-in-law, Steven Maxey and two granddaughters, Eva and Alana. Family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Friday, October 22, 2010 at Kingwood Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Strawbridge United Methodist Church, 5629 Kingwood Drive, Kingwood, TX 77345. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 8010 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX. Family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Bright Beginnings Learning Center at 5629 Kingwood Drive, Kingwood, TX 77345.
