

William L (Bill) Myers, Jr., age 81, passed away in Houston Texas on April 14, 200l. He was born December 4, 1929 to William L. Myers, Sr. and Sally Lois Myers. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Louise Page of New Braunfels, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 57+ years, Rosaleen Slavens Myers, two sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Connie of Houston, TX and Bret and Debra of McKinney, TX, a granddaughter Cassie Ann Myers, a grandson, Blake William Myers, and a great-grandson, Jacob Alan Young, all of Houston, TX. Additionally Bill leaves behind a brother, Dewayne Myers, and a sister, Inez Gregory, both of Bartlesville, Ok., and a brother Don Myers of Conroe, TX as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bill spent his early years in Bartlesville, OK where he completed his education in 1948. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of Houston, Class of 1958. Early in his career he worked for Phillips Petroleum Company. In 1988, after thirty-two years service, he retired from Baker Hughes Tool Company. Bill served his country as was a Corporal in The U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX and Ft. Sam Houston, TX. He was a member of the 4th Army, 509th Military Police unit.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kingwood Funeral Home on Monday, April 18, 2001 at 3:00 p.m.
