Loving husband of 60 years to Catherine (nee Stankowitsch). Cherished dad to daughters Frances (Gary) Miller and Susan Paisley. Adored Grandpa and papa to grandchildren Kevin (Jenny), Steven (Amy), Christopher and Andrew and great grandchildren Aislyn, Austen and Isaac. Always remembered by his brother Frank (Barbara), brother-in-law Michael (Barb) Stankowitsch and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Anna Gruber.
Tony came to Canada in 1957 and spent most of his working career at Uniroyal until he retired in 1991. In the years to follow his retirement, Tony loved to spend time with his family and at his cottage in Bayfield.
At Tony’s request cremation has taken place. No visitation will be held and a private family service will be held at a later date.
A special thank you to the Palliative Care staff at Freeport hospital for the love and care shown to Tony during his short time with them.
