Brenda was a kind and spirited woman whose presence brought light and laughter to all who knew her. Born in England, she made the life-changing journey to Canada in 1966 with her family. In the years that followed, she built a beautiful life and eventually married John, her beloved husband. Together, they shared many happy years in London, Ontario, before John’s passing. Following that loss, Brenda moved to Kitchener to be closer to family — a decision that brought her great comfort and joy.
Brenda will be forever remembered by her loving daughter Debra (John) France, and her cherished grandchildren Craig (Carrie) Querin and Brent Querin. She was a proud great-grandmother to Emma Querin, who brought endless smiles to her face. She also held a special place in her heart for her stepdaughter Sue (Glen) Tigert and step-granddaughters Stephanie and Shannon.
Though miles apart, Brenda remained close to her dear sister Pam Doherty and nephew Warren Zoey Doherty, both of England, who will miss her dearly.
Brenda had a warm and sociable spirit. She loved a good cup of tea, spent many happy hours in her garden, and always welcomed conversation and laughter. Her cheerful nature, sharp wit, and unwavering positivity made her a joy to be around. She had a unique ability to make others feel at home and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.
Her family and friends will carry her memory with them always — a woman who lived with grace, loved deeply, and found joy in every day.
Family will receive friends on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, for a funeral service at 11:00 am. Pastor William Horne to officiate. Cremation to follow.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society.
"Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure."
