David Hawkins

Beloved husband of Carmel Hawkins. Dear father of Kerry Rommens (Felix), Simon Hawkins (Theresa), and stepfather of Darlene Strong (Calvin), Glen McDonald, Darrell McDonald, and Terry McDonald. Also remembered by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. David was an outdoor lover who cycled competitively well into his 70's. He enjoyed walking and observing nature. He also spent wonderful years on Sheba's Island and winters in Florida. The past few years have been challenging for David, as he met with various health difficulties. Throughout this period of his life, Carmel cared for and supported him. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of David's life will be held by his family at a later date.
