Donna was born in Timmins, Ontario on November 2, 1937. She was predeceased by her parents (Douglas Cripps), Margaret and Alfred Smith, her daughter Debra, and her brother Montie.
Donna was a gifted singer and former competitor with the Northern Ontario Combine Choirs. She loved to read, garden, dance, travel and had an unforgettable sweet tooth. She worked for many years as an accountant with Johns Manville Corporation.
She is survived by her children John Craig (Karen), Lee Gentry, and Dana Carol-Ann (Kenneth); her grandchildren Ashley (Michael), Bill (Becky), Nathan, Jenna, Amanda (Kyle), Ryan (Breawna), and Ainsley; and her great-grandchildren Lincoln, Jameson, Elena, Remy, Jasper & Mia, Conrad, Leah, and one expected in August. She is also survived by her sister Carol (Raymond), her brother Aaron (Jennifer), her niece Kimberley, and several other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, April 24 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 560 Dundas St., Woodstock, with burial at the Anglican Cemetery, 349 Vansittart Ave., Woodstock. Family will receive friends afterward at the Royal Canadian Legion, 642 Dundas St., Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, should you so choose, donations to Sakura House in Woodstock in Donna’s name would be greatly appreciated.
