Born in Saskatchewan to Rainsford and Lottie Davidson, she was the youngest of four siblings: Mildred (Robert), Alfred (Gladys), and Barbara (Edward), all deceased. Married in Valois, Quebec, in 1954, she and Dennis have two boys, Michael and Jeffrey. Michael (Janice) have three children: Nadine (Matthew Kalinauskas) with two children, Ursula and Gilbert; Joel (Tina) have two children, Edna and Martha; Nathan (Sam Wellhauser-Bells) have two children, Alma and Arthur. Jeffrey (Sharon) have a son, Wesley.
Doris and Dennis lived in Quebec for 13 years before moving to Ontario. Doris was a quiet, reserved woman, but involved in Women’s Ministries in the churches they pastored in Willowdale, Owen Sound and New Dundee. From New Dundee and after they retired in Kitchener, she and Dennis volunteered at Winston Park Retirement Home for over 40 years. Doris was a devoted, behind-the-scenes prayer warrior.
A private family interment has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church, 1531 Bridge St., New Dundee, on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. The family expresses its deepest appreciation to the staff at AgeCare West Williams. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church would be appreciated.
