Doug is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Agnes (Yolkowski); his daughter Cathy (Basil), and his daughter Laurie and her husband Jeff (Griffith). Doug was loved by his grandchildren Charity (Dave), Shane (Michelle), Crystal (Todd), Greg, and Tiffany. He will be sadly missed by his six great grandchildren Raven, Austin, Faith, Tucker, Cooper, Bailey and predeceased by Zachary. Doug will also be missed by his neighbours Paulette, Alfonze, and Rosa, his step mother Doris (Bartlett) and his brother Gary (Carol).
Cremation has taken place; visitation will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre (1001 Ottawa St. S, Kitchener) on Thursday, February 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, February 27 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doug may be made to The University of Ottawa Heart Institute (Room H-2408 40 Ruskin St. Ottawa ON K1Y 4W7), The M.S. Society of Canada, or Sacred Heart Parish.
