Surrounded with love, Doug passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in his 63rd year. Loving son of Eileen Mason (the late Lloyd). Cherished husband to Joanne: and dear father to April Mason-Schneider and Suzanne Mason-Cassell (Brent). He leaves precious memories with grandchildren Matthew Schneider, the late Emily Schneider, Megan Schneider, Hayden Cassell and Xander Cassell. Doug is survived by his sisters Heather Alma (John) and Nancy Loney, and will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
He loved to fish, and had a passion for the Kitchener Rangers. Many will remember Doug as a world class drummer, playing and performing from the age of 15.
Friends may call at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. (at Westmount Rd.) on Saturday from 1:30 until 3:15. Celebration of Doug’s life will be in the chapel at 3:30 with Pastor Graham Burkhart officiating. Cremation will follow.
