Eric Burkhardt

Beloved husband of Esther (nee Knechtel), loving father of Beverly (Tom) Aicken and Bruce (Charlotte) Burkhardt, cherished grandpa of Jacob (Kim), Erica (Steve), Russell (Samantha), Angela (Chad) and Robyn (Tommy), proud great grandpa of Tawnya, Jacob, Samuel, Wraeanna, Wrennae, and Ty, dear brother-in-law of Hilda McEwin, Ruth Glasford, Jacob Knechtel, Karen Knechtel and Gerry Kesselring.

Predeceased by his grandparents, Ezra and Sussanah Burkhardt, and his parents, Alvin and Paula Burkhardt and his siblings, Walter Burkhardt and Helga Kesselring.

Eric was a dedicated employee of Joseph E. Seagram’s for 41 years and a member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church.

Friends and family are invited to visit at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd.), Kitchener, on Monday, June 14th, 2010 from 7 until 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday, June 15th, 2010 from 11 am until the time of service. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 15th, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home. Eric will be laid to rest at Mannheim Mennonite Cemetery.
