Passed away peacefully, on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 91 surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Elaine (Steve) Wassing, Herman (Sue Daniel) and Jane (Tony) Schnurr. Loving grandmother of Vicky, John and Steven; Debbie; and Warren. Great-grandmother of Travis, Tyler, Stephani, Austin, Cole, Dan, Damien, Quinn, Paige and Cadon. Survived by her sister Durkje Boomsma in the Netherlands. She will be fondly remembered by all those who knew her.
Predeceased by her grandson John and granddaughter Meggie.
Vicky came with her family to Canada in June of 1952 and resided in Breslau most of her life.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd.), Kitchener, on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 1 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
