Fran and I met the first day of school in grade one and remained good friends through all 12 grades. After graduation we even went off to University in Saskatoon together, where  each of us met and  married  Engineers. Over the years  we kept in touch with Xmas cards & letters until we once again lived close enough to visit when Fran & George moved to Kitchener.  I happily recall the  many plays & musicals we four attended over the years. When not visiting we kept in touch by phone and had planned for her to drive over in her new red car just as soon as she was cleared by the DR. Unfortunately that never happened. Rest in peace my friend.

We love you Fran.  Sleep well.  You'll be sorely missed.

So many happy memories of being welcomed into the Mann house and swimming pool as a kid back in Brampton days. I'm sure it was terribly rowdy and noisy and in retrospect I'm not sure how or why Fran and George tolerated it! (Except, of course, that they were warm and generous people and — it was always my impression — great parents, too.) Condolences to Lesley, Trish and Heather and your families.

Thinking of you all at this time of sadness. But also recalling so many happy times in Brampton when the Mann girls and my guys shared pool fun. I will think of you tomorrow and spend moments recalling Fran’s laughter, friendship, and solid common sense ways. Love to the family. Don and Beth

Dear Trish, Leslie, Heather, Husbands, The Grandchildren, Siblings and the rest of the families who loved Fran,
I was very sorry and shocked to read a note from Trish, as I wrote her a question and got a reply and a shock! My mind went to two places,  being happy that it was not painful or a lingering illness and "happy " that she would be with her soulmate again. Then, there was the sadness for all of you, as your Mom was a lovely lady with a zippy sense of humour and a kind heart.  Take time to reflect, be kind to yourselves and remember that she and your dad will be guiding you from another plain. They are with you in spirit and in your hearts.
