Gloria was born on a farm on Manitoulin Island and was raised in Manitowaning. She later moved to Sudbury where she met the love of her life Gordon who was born and raised in Sudbury. They later moved to Kitchener-Waterloo where they raised their family.
Gloria spent most of her time with Gordon at their trailer at Pioneer Sportsman Club in Kitchener, on the Grand River, where she enjoyed the river view and the wildlife, campfires and long walks. Gloria looked forward to meeting new people where she created many friendships. She loved flowers and tending to her gardens. She especially loved when her family came to visit.
Gloria's true passion was knitting and crocheting all of her life and it showed as the quality of her work was beautiful and impeccable. Gloria was masterful in making sweaters, jackets, afghans, baby clothes, Barbie doll outfits and doll-house furniture etc. Everyone lucky enough to receive any of these truly appreciated the beauty, love and energy that went into creating these.
Gloria was a loving soul, an earth angel, someone that always brightened the room with her laughter, her wit, her sense of humour, her love was unconditional. She loved very deeply with her entire being, her strong faith in Jesus was unshakeable. She knew where she would be when she passed.
Gloria, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma will be deeply missed by her family. Rest in peace in love with Jesus. We Love you xo
