Born in Windsor, Ontario, Greg was a strong-willed man with a stubborn streak and a character all his own. He enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, and vacationing with friends in Mexico. Greg always looked on the bright side, hoping that everyone would “all just get along,” and found happiness in the simple things in life.
Greg will be dearly missed by his son, Dwayne Stuart Pretty, and daughter-in-law, Amanda Walter; his partner, Norma Badger; his former wife, Colleen Pretty (née Shean); his sister, Wanda Lambert (née Pretty); and his best friend, Ken Wilson, and his wife, Darlene.
Greg was predeceased by his parents, Robert J. Pretty and Gertrude (Deacon) Pretty; his sister, Margaret Perrault (née Pretty); and his beloved niece, Teri (Cassidy) Fuerth.
Cremation has taken place, and a private time of remembrance has been held by the family. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery in Kitchener.
Greg will be remembered for his strength, his individuality, and the lasting impression he left on those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
