

With great sorrow the family announces the sudden passing of Gus Morschauser, on Saturday, April 9th, 2016 in his 48th year. Cherished husband of Erin (nee Hilderley), and loving father to Cassandra, Marissa (Chris), Juliet, August, Nathan, Eden, Ellie, Emara and Nevey. Gus will be dearly remembered by his mother Elisabeth (Walter) Bauer, his father Gus (Ina) Morschauser, and his siblings; Rick (Leslie), Ashley, Andrew (Shelley), Angie (Wayne) and Yvonne. Much loved Opi to Liam, and uncle to Josh and Jordan, Gus leaves precious memories with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Much adored son to the Hilderley Family. He will be fondly remembered in the business community as owner of Forest Park Homes. Gus was a former goalie for the Kitchener Rangers (1987 – 1990), played professional hockey in Villach, Austria (1991 – 1998) as well as for the Canadian World Junior Hockey Team (1988 – 1989). Gus Morschauser will be forever loved by all of those whose lives he touched. Family and friends are welcomed to gather at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (at Westmount Rd.) 519-743-8900, on Thursday and Friday between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Gus’ life will be in the Westmount Chapel on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with Brianne Jourdin officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario are greatly appreciated.
