1921--2011
Born in Waldron Sask. Died peacefully at Grand River Hospital on Sunday February 20th at age 89 years, with his loving family by his side. Survived by his children, Dennis Schmidt of Kitchener, Larry Weber of Kitchener, Verna Verbakel (nee Weber) and husband Ken of Wroxeter, Connie Porter (nee Schmidt) and Howard Purdy of Kitchener. This loving man was also a Father to grandsons Darrin Schmidt and wife Christine of Kitchener and Dwain Schmidt. Predeceased by his loving wife Elsie Weber, 2005 and daughter Diane Wowk (nee Weber ), 1999. Survived by many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. At Henry’s request, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation Tuesday 7-9pm and Wednesday 12 noon-1 pm. A memorial service to celebrate Henry’s life will be held at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. (at Westmount Rd.), 743-8900 on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 1pm.
