Jake Jeffrey MacDonald

Our beautiful baby boy left this world to get his angel wings back again on July 19th. Jake was adored by his parents Jeff MacDonald and Sarah Knechtel. He was surrounded with love and cuddled by his Ninny and Pa, Louise and Dave Knechtel, his Grampa and Gramma, Steve and Teresa MacDonald, his Grandma Debbie MacDonald, his aunts and uncles Amy (Auntie Ames) and Peter (Uncle Pete) Shannon, Laura (Auntie L) Knechtel-Donau, Matt (Uncle Matty) Donau and Mark and Danny MacDonald.

Jake was the “little man” to his doting cousins Olivia and Sophia Shannon. Jake was constantly in the loving arms of his Little Gran, Helen Hurlbut, great aunts and uncles and so many friends. Jake had a special place in his heart for Sarah, Scott, Mitchell, Ellie, Steve, Seth and Ethan Stemerdink and Beck Paton. Jake’s 7 weeks on earth changed our lives in the most profound way. He was a healer and a teacher to everyone. He blessed us with messages of love and patience. Our lives have been forever changed. We will cherish every second we had with our angel baby boy. A private service will be held to honour our baby’s life. Donations in Jake’s memory welcomed to Ronald McDonald House, “Mac Kids”, McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation, or a children’s charity of one’s choice.
