Beloved father of Christine (Dave) and Colleen (John). Dear Papa of Aliesha (Isaac) and Jacob, and Great Papa of Wyatt. Loved brother of Wally (Sharon), Kate (Rick), Liz (Len), Vicky (Rob), David (Deb), Mary (Coulter), and Megan (Rod). Also remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In his younger years Jim was an avid motorcyclist as well as an instructor at Humber College. He rode all across North America on both solo trips and with his motorcycle club. He was a quiet man that enjoyed playing chess, doing crossword puzzles with his fountain pen and card games with his family. A Monopoly champion he was! Jim was a classic man who loved old movies and had a huge collection of classic music from all genres. He lived with his daughters and grandchildren through the later part of his life and became Papa to everyone that knew him. He enjoyed feeding the squirrels and spoiled the household cats with daily treats! He was a true gentleman and will be missed but never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place. Jim's family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to a charity of your choice.
