Most of my time at the steelworks was in the melt shop. So, I didn't know John, very well. What I do know is, he was a good and kind man. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family.

John played a big role in my life, he gave me so many wonderful memories. Some of my favourites were camping every summer at Jay Lake, and he was a great Nintendo partner as well. He remembered all the important dates in mine and my children’s lives as well. John was a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with you Shelley. I will miss him dearly

John was the first person I worked with at Gerdau so many years ago. I still remember how helpful and friendly he was to me on my first day.
Fun loving, full of good natured pranks, skilled at his job, easy going plus a pleasure to work with were just some of John's traits that I witnessed over the years.
I am saddened by John's passing but so grateful to have known him.

I worked with John for over 30 years. He became a very good friend. His death came as a shock due to his recent retirement. I wish he had more time to spend with his loved ones and all his many friends during his senior years. He will be missed by all!
Sincerely Dave or as John called me "Crabber" .

JB, (Beezer) I knew you for 40 years. I remember all the fun times we had, like when we played bowling with the cranes at Gerdau. I have so many stories to tell. You were a great guy and you were like a brother to me. I'm going to miss you very much. Sending love and prayers to Shelley and family. Cookie (Andy)

John was one of the nicest guys I've worked with. He would never miss the chance to crack an elegant joke. I felt really bad that I couldn't say my goodbyes to him on his last shift back in April 2020. He was skillful, helpful, and made so much easier for everyone working with him. My heartfelt condolence to his family, and to all those whose lives he touched. Rest in peace JB.

Gonna miss you very much Beezer. You were one of the best friends at work buds. You made us laugh and always had a positive attitude. Will never forget your pranks and good times we shared. "Hat Time" will go down in Gerdau history as one of the funniest tricks that you played on some unsuspecting co-worker. Rest in peace brother. Rick
